I have very dry hair and it’s very important for me to take proper care of my hair. Along with proper diet I do indulge in hot oil treatments, protein based hair packs(readymade & homemade) and once in a while I love to have a good hair massage with steam in a parlor.
Although I am a big fan of homemade hair packs and treatments for hair but still sometimes here and there I manage to buy few readymade packs for hair in emergencies. The term Herbal is my weakness when it comes to skin and hair care and this SA managed to convince me to buy this hair pack from Biotique
.
What it Claims?
Rs 180 for 230 gm.
Ingredients:
It comes in a green tub with screw top lid. The product is deep black thick paste (It reminds of Dabur Chyawanprash). Kind of herbal smell which I don’t like.
My Experience with Musk Root Hair Pack:
For the first use I applied product directly on my hair without mixing with anything(but need to dilute it a bit as being very thick it’s very difficult to spread on hair). I felt my hair a bit dried out as usually I oil and steam my hair on a regular basis and they are soft and manageable. For second use I mixed it with curd and applied. Got better results this time. My hair felt much better. It imparts a black sheen to my hair. My hair feels more hydrated. I was suffering from hair fall problem but it didn’t helped much in that although reduced it a bit.
Didn’t find any difference in my hair volume or growth. Altogether for me it’s a general hair care pack and meant for specific hair problem. It keeps your hair in good condition if used once a week. For me (shoulder length hair), one pack comes for 3-4 applications
Pros:
- Hydrates dry & rough hair.
- Imparts sheen to hair.
- Completely herbal
- Decently priced
Cons:
- Dries hair a bit.
- No difference in hair volume & growth as claimed.
- Not much helpful in hairfall reduction.
- Due to very thick consistency, difficult to spread on hair.
- I didn’t liked the smell.
Final Verdict:
A decent hair pack for general hair care purpose. Can be used once a week to keep hair in good condition.

oh!!! You didn’t like this much but this suited me so well as a hair pack….I mix two spoon fulls with one egg and it makes my hair awesomely light and manageable!!! and, yup, it gives a lovely shine to the hair…I would like to buy it in the future but the only problem is that its a lot messy
I hate the egg smell so kinda try to avoid them in my hair packs. This I didn’t very great just ok….
