What it Claims?

How to Use?

With your fingertips, pat a small amount of blush onto the apples of your cheeks. Use feathery strokes to blend gently from your cheekbones to your temples. To build color intensity, apply more blush.

My Experience with Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush: (Soft Plum)

Packaging: Comes in a cute glass jar with pink colored screw top cap. The glass jar is sturdy enough not to break if dropped down.

Texture: The texture is immensely velvety soft and blends like a dream. As the name says it has got Mousse kind of texture. Very light on skin. Very easily blendable and no need to worry about harsh lines. Application is like a breeze with this blush.

Pigmentation: The blush is highly pigmented & buildable. It has got shimmers which are not chunky. Gives a subtle glowy finish to cheeks.

Staying Power: It stays easily for 3-4 hours on my skin and then slowly fades away. It doesn’t leave behind that shimmer after fading. I need to retouch this blush if staying outside for long.

Shade 40 Soft Plum: Unlike its name , this shade gives a soft rosy glow to the cheeks. I find more of a peachy pink shade. The color is buildable and will suit most of the skin tones depending on the buildup of color. Would highly recommend this blush to beginners as it is very easy to blend and there’s no chance of messing up application with this one.

Availability: Easily available across all the Maybelline counters or you can buy online via cosmetic selling sites in India. (Soft plum & Peach satin will be easily available, not sure about rest of the shades, they are not available in India.).

Pros:

• Decently priced for the quality of product.
• Decent staying power.
• Looks very natural on skin.
• Shimmers are not chunky and gives a subtle glow to cheeks.
• Color is buildable.
• Soft mousse kind of texture which is very easy to blend without much effort.
• Highly recommended for beginners.
• One jar will last long.
• Doesn’t make skin look cakey ot patchy.

Cons:

• Available in limited shades.

Final Verdict:

I love this blush, very easy to work with and give a very natural rosy look to cheeks. Staying power could have been better but still that’s ok for me. Would definitely recommend people to try this especially beginners.
