I am so fond of cocoa butter products & when I saw this soap in Fabindia’s outlet wasted no time to add it to my shopping list.
Hydrating and soothing soap made using glycerine and cocoa butter, known for its moisturising properties. Ideal for dry skin.
Price:
Rs65/- for 100gm with a shell life of 2 years.
Ingredients:
Purified Water, Soap Noodles, Sugar, Glycerine, Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate, Cocoa Butter, Cocoamidopropylbetaine, Sodium Palmitate, Sodium Stearate.
My Experience with Fabindia Cocoa Butter Soap:
It’s a light brown colored soap bar.I had huge expectations with this soap which it failed to keep up. Initially when I opened the pack I was very happy as my bathroom was lingering with the fragrance of cocoa butter also the soap felt very smooth & creamy in touch. But when I started using this the biggest disappointment was the fragrance …it just won’t come out. There was no feeling of using a cocoa butter soap for me which is very incomplete with that tempting & relaxing fragrance. The only time I could enjoy the fragrance was immediately opening the pack.
Thankfully the soap was decently moisturizing & lathers well. But I cannot skip my moisturizer for long after using this. Surely not sufficient for my dry skin. Again the fragrance won’t be there even after a bath with this one. This would be good for summers.
Pros:
- Keeps skin moisturized for certain time. Would be ideal for summers when we don’t want to soak our skin into moisturizers.
- Lathers well.
- Soap is very smooth & creamy.
Cons:
- I am soooooooo disappointed for the fragrance part..just not get the feel of using cocoa butter soap.
- The moisturization is not enough for other seasons except summers.
Final Verdict:
If you are a person who is crazy for cocoa butter products and the yummy fragrance this is surely a disappointment…I crave for the strong tempting fragrance of cocoa butter in my product which this does not give. Otherwise a decent soap which hydrates skin without but for certain time.
Overall Rating:3/5
