This is my first ever Lotus cosmetics product. I was so fascinated by the idea of getting a herbal cosmetics product for myself and got this lip gloss to try out and here comes my point of view on this gloss…
A unique, high gloss lip care formulation with a non-sticky feel. Enriched with botanical extracts of Grapes and Jojoba that make lips soft and supple for long. The unique product qualities are: Sponge Brush Applicator for smooth even application . Freedom to use as top coat without affecting lip color.
Rs 200/- for 5ml.
Grapes & Jojoba extracts
Jojoba helps promote healing of the skin. – Its antimicrobial properties in addition to the chemical composition that closely resembles skin’s natural sebum, makes it easy to absorb and non-allergic even in the most sensitive individuals.
Mocha Spice, Jamoon, Candy Floss, Cranberry, Precious Peach, Berry Blush, Hazlenut Sheen, Ice Cube, Golden Mango & Berry Smoothie
I find it ok not very appealing though. Comes in a sturdy plastic tube with screw top lid which contains Doe Foot applicator.
As claimed the texture is superlight creamy which doesn’t make your lips feel heavy at all. They do contain shimmer which are not chunky at all and very subtle. The gloss gives a nice shine to your lips but the shine fades away after few hours and just a slight sheen remains as that of a satin lipstick. The gloss doesn’t bleeds on lips and won’t settle in fine lines. The gloss is very hydrating on lips without making it dry.
The pigmentation of these glosses varies from shade to shade. Some shades are highly pigmented especially darker shades like jamoon and some are fairly pigmented which gives a medium coverage on lips. The shade Precious peach is fairly pigmented and is buildable on lips. Lighter shades can be worn over lipsticks as a gloss and looks beautiful.
The staying power pretty good of these glosses. This shade easily stays on my lips for 4-5 hours without any meals and fades lightly if I snack in between as they settle down nicely on lips. They do leave slight hint of color & shimmer even after fading on lips. Haven’t had any heavy meals with this gloss on my lips and can’t say of its survival with a full meal.
Some shades gives pretty good opaque coverage and Precious Peach gives sheer to medium coverage on my lips. It won’t be very helpful to hide pigmentations completely on lips.
I like to top this shade mostly on my nude lippies.
Got perfume kind of fragrance which I find really strong. But it doesn’t bother my nose once I apply it as the fragrance disappears after couple of minutes.
Shade38: Precious Peach:
It’s a Peachy Copper shade with medium pigmentation which will look good on fair to medium skin tones. Gives a very natural look and perfect for everyday wear. Shade is buildable. I like use a single swipe of this on my nude lippies. But the shine disappears after couple of hours and retouch is needed.
