Catrice is European cosmetic brand. I got hold of this lippie during a small discount sale and unfortunately this was the only shade left from the collection but fortunately I loved the shade after testing the sample & bought it.

What it Claims?

Color intoxication guaranteed: the Ultimate Colour makes your lips shine with highly-pigmented, rich colors. The smooth and creamy texture is extremely long-lasting, pampers your lips and provides a gorgeous finish with great coverage.
Available in 16 colors – one as bright and seductive as the other.

My Experience with Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick: Ginger & Fred:

Ginger & Fred is a mauvish pink shade or I would say predominantly mauvish shade with a hint of brick red to it but it looks completely mauve shade on my lips. On my hand the swatches look more of brick red but if you look at my lip swatch you will get to see the actual shade.

Packaging: Very crisp & classy. Comes in a sturdy  sheeny black twist up case with a transparent bottom. The packing makes it look like a very high end & expensive brand.

The lipstick has brand name stamped on it as we find in most of high end brands.

Texture: Although the brand claims that these lipsticks have smooth & creamy texture but this particular shade have minute shimmer particles due to which you won’t find this lippie as smooth as other brands like Maybelline colorsensational. It makes my lips feel a bit gritty due to presence of shimmer. This lipstick doesn’t dry out my lips or get settled into fine lines.

Pigmentation: Ginger & Fred is super pigmented and gives a nice opaque coverage in a single swipe. Applies very smoothly & evenly on lips.

Staying Power: This is where this shade loose marks from my end. It stays on my lips hardly for 3-4 hours and is easily transferable to glasses or cups. Won’t survive meals.

So all together:

The Good about Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick Ginger & Fred:

• Classy packaging.
• Wide range of shades to choose from.
• These lipsticks are highly pigmented and gives good coverage on lips.
• Does not dry out lips.
• Does not settle down in fine lines of lips.

The Not-so-Good about Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick Ginger & Fred:

• Ginger & Fred feels a bit gritty on lips due to presence of shimmer.
• Staying power is not so great.
• No SPF
• Not available in India.

Final Verdict:

These lipsticks are super pigmented and gives nice opaque coverage to lips. They have some nice bright shades in their collection. Do check them out if you get a chance.
