My Take on the Product:
I got this around a year back and have hardly used this twice. The reason: let me tell you first that I have this in Bronze shade (I didn’t mentioned this in article header as I want to give a compiled verdict of the product & not just for the shade). The moment I apply this lip color it easily finds its way through fine lines of my lips and lazily gets settle down there. Though that doesn’t appear very prominent but it’s noticeable. On top of that you have to wait for some time to let the lip colour dry before applying the gloss. The lip colour gives a very matte finish on my dry lips so I hate to wear this alone & the gloss makes my lips sticky.
The shade Bronze is a true bornze with fine micro gold shimmer in it. It doesn’t look good if weared alone but gives nice hint of colour if used in combination with soft warmer shades. The shade Grapevine from this collection has won the best lip gloss beauty award.
The staying power as per Lakme is whole day but in actual very soon the lip colour begins to flake on my dry lips. It barely stays for hour on my lips and then starts flaking out. There’s nothing true about the claims of this lip colour & for me the price tag just don’t do justice. The only pro I can think of is the packaging which is so very convenient to carry a gloss & lip colour together in a sleek tube with separate compartments. The doe foot applicators ensures proper distribution of colour & gloss on the lips. Yesterday I was cleaning my stash & before throwing this out wanted to review in short.
- Userfriendly packaging.
- Moisturizing on lips till the time it stays.
The Not-so-Good about Lakme Nine to Five Colorfix Lip Duo:
- Heavy on price tag or the poor quality it delivers.
- The colour gets settle down in fine lines of the lips.
- The gloss makes my lips very sticky.
- It barely stays for an hour and then flakes out.
- Only lip colour is very matte on my dry lips.
I would suggest all to stay from these Colorfix Duo from Lakme. The staying power is nil as totally opposite of their claim. Flakes on lips & enhances fine lines of the lips. The gloss is very sticky. The only good thing is the packaging for which I am not convinced to pay 650INR.
