My Take on the Product:
Chambor flowing lipstick shades are inspired by Roses & hence the entire range named in different shades of Roses like Red Rose, Pink Rose, Coffee Rose etc…
The packaging of the lipstick is very crisp & sleek, a steel pen packaging with a small transparent gap helps to identify the shade if you own more than one. You have to twist the pen from bottom clockwise for pushing the product to the brush tip applicator. Remember not to over twist as the product takes a minute to come out. These lipsticks have a smooth creamy texture which settles down as a matte finish on lips. They do not bleed and adheres nicely to skin. The texture is very light & completely merges into skin. As claimed this is non-transferable but if I use a gloss or chap stick on this then it’s a different story. These are highly pigmented & gives a nice opaque coverage . Being matte finish they stay for longer with no hassle of retouch every time.
The product does have some flaws, first one being the application part. The pen tip bristles applicator makes application streaky sometimes & you need a lip brush to make it smooth and even or have to press lips together. The other flip side of the product is the moisturization part. Having claimed of containing high moisturizing ingredients like Jojoba oil & Shea butter the lipstick is not enough moisturizing for my dry lips. It’s not too bad either but it does make me feel a bit uncomfortable & a need of chap stick or a moisturising gloss.
Shade: Garnet Rose
Garnet Rose is a Fire Brick Red colour with brown undertones…just my kind of shade, Red with warm undertones. The shade will compliment well with medium to dusky skintones. If you are a person who is afraid of wearing cool tones & still want to enjoy some reds in your collection then this is the shade to go for. This makes your lips look fuller with ample amount of colour stain. The shade compliments a complete neutral look giving a bold lips statement. But if you prefer some high definition reds then you can take a look at other reds in the collection.
Highly recommended for Indian Skintones.
Here I have blotted my lips after the application.
The Good about Chambor Flowing Lipstick in Garnet Rose:
- Sleek & crisp packaging.
- Soft creamy texture.
- Highly pigmented.
- Long lasting & non transferable.
- Light textured.
- Waterproof & smudgeproof.
- Good range of shades selection.
- Garnet rose compliments well to Indian Skintones .
The Not-so-Good about Chambor Flowing Lipstick in Garnet Rose:
- One needs time to get used to the pen packaging otherwise can end up in a messy application.
- Not enough moisturizing on my dry lips. I do need a chapstick or a moisturizing gloss over this. The other reason being that I don’t like matte finish.
Final Verdict:
Chambor Flowing Lipsticks comes in a sleek pen applicator packaging which needs time to get used to for controlled & precise application. They have a good range of shade selection in various tones of Reds. Highly pigmented, soft creamy texture, long staying & non transferable. Not moisturizing enough though.Garnet Rose is a beautiful Fire Brick shade complimenting well with medium to dusky skintones. Will also go well with fair tones if you prefer warm tones.
