Hello everybody!! Today I will be reviewing lotus herbals safe sun absolute anti tan scrub. Scrubbing is an essential part of our makeup routine. It is essential to at least scrub once a week. I get tanned very easily and end up using facial bleaches to remove to the tan. So I thought why not by an anti tan scrub!! The safe sun range from lotus also has an anti tan mask as well which I will be reviewing shortly.
Content:-
The content is a baby pink in color cream based scrub full of multi colored granules. The cream is very heavy and thick. The pink in color granules are probably the strawberry seed and the brown ones are the walnut shells.
Packaging:-
Orange colored tube with a flip open cap. I found the packaging not at all attractive. It’s like the same usual. The cap is so delicate and flimsy that it may break any time.
Smell: - the cream has a very strong smell I totally dislike. I can’t place it whether it’s of walnut or turmeric. It’s definitely not of strawberry.
This is the first ever scrub I used and it turned out disastrous. The granules which should be micro small are actually quite large it feels quite harsh when applied to face. The consistency of the cream is very thick but spreads over easily once you start applying. I am not at all a sweaty person but I tend to sweat a lot whenever I use this product. Now the tan removing and skin lightening properties: – I did not find any drastic change in my complexion instantly after using it but you may get a result on regular usage. Personally I don’t like using scrub on a daily purpose. I can’t make myself to use this product due to the smell and the coarse granules. The exfoliating is good that is if you can stand the harsh granules. My skin felt clean after the first usage but not lightened.
This is what it becomes if not used for like few days. This is the problem with all the safe sun products.
- Cleans the face
- Removes tan but only on prolonged usage.
- Economical
- Easy to carry packaging
- Easily available.
- Suits all skin type.
- Granules are very harsh.
- Makes my skin very sweaty after application
- Smell is very strong and pungent.
- Does not lighten the skin effectively
- Does not dramatically remove the tan which I was looking for.
- Contains paraben
No!! I will not be recommending this product to anyone nor will I buy it again. I will not be able to finish off this as well due to the smell but I am eyeing the lotus apricot scrub and will definitely review it as soon as possible.
