Sheer moisturising Lip Colour with a fruity flavour. Made with food-grade ingredients, including natural blueberry and pomegranate seed oils.
I got this during TBS sale or else looking at that price tag compared to the product quantity it simply doesn’t make sense to me. The product description is what prompted me to try atleast one of these being completely natural & food grade. I picked up shade 09 coz it was looking to have better pigmentation than rest of the shades.
This sheer lip colour comes in a pretty sleek steel tube twist up packaging with silvery coloured fruit logos on the bottom part & product details on the cap.
Formula wise these are very buttery soft & glides effortlessly on lips giving an even colour coat on lips without any slickness. Although the formula is buttery soft these are not enough moisturizing for dry lips & I have to use them with a lip balm underneath which gives a waxy feeling to my lips. It doesn’t feel sticky or gooey but I just don’t like that waxiness on my lips. Gives a nice glossiness to lips without going OTT making them look moisturized & healthy.
Being sheer you can’t expect them to perform brilliantly in pigmentation part & do require some 2-3 swipes to make the colour show up on your lips. The staying power is not even average & the whole formula gets wiped off in an hour or so & may be that’s the reason my lips feeling the lack of moisturization. However using a lipbalm eliminates the hydration lack factor for me. Reapplying every hour is a real pain with these & the 2 gm of product doesn’t last you much for the reason. There is no coverage to lips what so ever & not a good option for pigmented lips. These transfers to everything you touch with your lips even roti’s or breads. I didn’t like the fragrance also. Nothing fruity atleast with the shade I am having.
Absoulutely a dud from TBS which is overly priced & doesn’t perform even average for what you expect from a good lip product! I feel the texture & pigmentation of this one almost same as a tinted lipbalm.
Shade: 09 Sheer Pomegranate
Now here’s something good to talk about because I absolutely love the shade & the way it shows up on lips. Sheer yet giving an illusion of rich colour with enough glossiness. It’s a sheer Plum-Red shade which will fatter all skin tones. Of rest of the shades available in the range (that I got to try at TBS counter) this one has the best pigmentation & colour pay off. It’s not a versatile shade & I would advise to get a dupe of this one if you like the shade in other brand which will perform better rather than shelling out 620 bucks for this one.
- Attractive & chic packaging.
- Feels buttery soft on lips.
- Gives a rich glossiness to lips.
- Made with food grade ingredients.
- Non sticky.
- Sheer Pomegranate gives decent colour pay off & will flatter all skin tones.
- The Price!
- Horrible staying power.
- Formula is not enough moisturizing & I do need a lipbalm with these.
- I am not fond of the fragrance either.
- Highly transferable.
Overly priced, very much same as any of the tinted lipbalms right from the texture to the sheer colour on your lips with not so good moisturizing formula, I would not recommend these sheer lip colours to anyone. If you like a shade in the range try to get a dupe from other brand or different range as the colours not versatile here that cannot be found in other brands.
