Waterproof. Longwearing. Metallic, shimmer and matte finishes. Smooth to apply. Won’t transfer, smudge, or budge… Draws the line: powers your eyes. Makes its point. Lasts.
MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencils are mechanical sharpen able ones with smooth & soft texture. The end of pencil contains a small strip of the shade making it easy to locate colours. They are creamy but not so much that break easily & glides on skin effortlessly without any tugging or pulling. Pigmentation is insane with a single swipe resulting in rich full intensity colour pay off. They settle on skin smudgeproof & waterproof within a go after application & the formula won’t leave , budge or fade unless removed by an oil based makeup cleanser. Which means you don’t get much time to work with these for smudged looks & really need to have a good hands. I have tried rubbing it vigorously on my hand swatch once but all I got is barely noticeable smudging which looking like a subtle smoked out look!
Stays forever on my lids unless I remove it with an oil based remover or else with normal removers it doesn’t gets wiped off completely easily & you need some vigorous rubbing which is not good for the eyes. The best way is to apply some oil based cleanser & leave it for a minute or two to get it dissolved completely & then gently wipe it off with a soft cotton bud. These pencils are surely pricey but for some shades in your stash they are worth an investment.
Shade: Buried Treasure
MAC describes Buried Treasure as Underground Brown Black with Gold.
It’s a beautiful Blackish Olive Brown shade with Golden shimmer accompanied by Olive sheen which gives a creamy metallic finish to eyes. This is my everyday liner these days & the Olive sheen reflects softly yet noticeably on eyes in the bright day light. As the Olive Brown shade is prominently blackened or smoked out, it doesn’t look too bright on eyes & balances the intensity beautifully making it apt for everyday wear. If weared in dark or at nights this looks as good as black eyeliner. The shimmer once settled doesn’t travel on eyes & gets wiped off easily while removing. I don’t use this on my waterline because of the shimmer & the formula doesn’t apply smoothly there.
- Sharpen able & convenient to use.
- Smooth & Soft texture.
- Creamy enough to glide smoothly without any tugs or pulls.
- Highly pigmented with rich colour pay off.
- Long wearing
- Smudge proof & waterproof.
- Buried Treasure gives a subtle olive reflects with balanced intensity with black giving a fresh look to eyes from everyday matte black liners.
- Pricey.
- Product wastage due to sharpening.
- It settles down very quickly hence not much time to work with it for creating different looks. The usability remains mostly restricted only for upper & lower lash lines. For the price I would love this to be multiuse pencil.
- The formula doesn’t apply smoothly on waterline.
This is how it looks on my Eyes: I am wearing MAC Buried Treasure on upper & lower lash line with kajal on my waterline.
MAC PowerPoint Eye Pencils comes in mechanical sharpen able form with smooth & soft texture. They are creamy enough to glide easily & softly on skin without any breakage. The formula is waterproof & smudge proof & stays intact till removed with an oil based cleanser. But a drawback being the restriction of usage to upper & lower lash line as the formula doesn’t apply smoothly on waterline & these settles too quickly hardly giving a moment to work with them for creating some looks. Buries Treasure is a blackened Olive Brown which gives a fresh twist to boring plain black eyeliner with subtle olive reflects & some gold shimmer.

Thanks Deepika. That comes out with regular practice
. I think you should switch to anti ageing eye care products very soon before the lines becomes more visible.
