I have been using this Anti dandruff oil on & off since last year. There was a time when I had severe dandruff issues & when nothing was working out,a phase where I used to pick up every hair care product which says “ANTI DANDRUFF”. So, I guess you now know the story behind this purchase.
Nothing much to detail about the packaging with a regular transparent plastic bottle & flip flop cap. I am yet not able to finish this oil, the reason: its not enough nourishing for my super dry scalp & I don’t like the idea to keep pouring oil on my scalp unless it starts dripping eeeeewwwww! I got to have that intense hot oil treatment once a week without which my hair looks all dry & lifeless. Again this not a bang on affective one & definitely needs company of an anti-dandruff shampoo to work in full power. My hair used to feel clean for a day after the use & the dandruff would be back within no time. When I started using Anti Dandruff shampoo along with this, saw a remarkable improvement forcing me to doubt the oil’s potential. So for a quick analysis, I stopped using this & carried on with my homemade remedies with lemon for dandruff along with H&S antidandruff shampoo & voila! In a month my hair came back to normal completely free of dandruff.
This is what worked for me: After hot oil treatment & before taking bath apply 1-2 tsp of lemon juice on the scalp. Leave for 15-20 minutes. Then wash off with an anti-dandruff shampoo. When I was using this oil alone my hair were all dull & dry. To add up more I started to get split ends also which rang an alarm for me to stop using this. Though I don’t face dandruff regularly but unfortunately my hair goes through some rough patches in some rare occasions & this oil did nothing good for me except keeping my hair under nourished & lifeless. But if you have oily scalp, might like this.
This works only temporarily & not a permanent solution for dandruff in my case.
I have nothing positive to say about this.
For Very Dry Scalp: Not enough nourishing & leaves hair dull, lifeless which might result in split ends & fizziness. Not a permanent solution for dandruff & barely keeps it away for a day or two. Better to go homemade remedies with an effective anti-dandruff shampoo.
