With a unique heart-shaped applicator, you will fall in love with the gorgeous selection of eight shades of Love Gloss! The heart applicator not only looks pretty but it also effortlessly contours your lips with gloss, giving both definition and colour intensity.
The Body Shop Love Gloss comes in a sleek transparent tube with silver lid containing the heart shaped applicator. The applicator reminds me of or rather say is similar to L’Oreal Glam Shine Lip Glosses & helps in precise & controlled application. The pointed tip of the applicator makes it easy to work along the contour of the lips. However it gets stuck at the mouth of the tube while taking out being slightly bigger & one has to pull it a bit actually. The very first time I got some gloss spilled on my clothes due to this so one has to be careful. The packaging is pretty much as regular TBS glosses except for the applicator & added cute little silver hearts on the tube which I find Ok kind of.
The gloss has got a thick creamy formula which appears to be sticky and gross while taking out from the tube but turns out to be very moisturising, non sticky & long wearing on lips. This range is fairly pigmented providing mediocre coverage to lips but few shades like Raspberry gives a decent opaque coverage. The glosses are not loaded with shimmer or very pronounced & are apt for daily wear. They do not bleed or feather & sits comfortably on lips without getting into fine lines. Gives a semi glossy finish.
These wear for good 4-5 hours on my lips with slight fading due to meals/drinks but leaves a strong tint which don’t get wiped off easily. I like the fruity fragrance of the gloss which is nothing overpowering & disappears soon after the application. Overall I like how the gloss feels oh so comfortable on my lips & are a great deal if grabbed during TBS sale.
Shade : Blush Pink (04)
Unlike the name the shade doesn’t have any hint of pink in it. It’s a pure nude shade on my skin tone which just adds a slight peachy brown tint to lips, much understated & barely noticeable. I love to wear this for work where you have nice glossy, moisturised & comfortable lips with barely noticeable colour. The pigmentation is moderate & doesn’t provide much coverage to lips. For casual wear this definitely makes your face look very boring & work only with a bold eye makeup & blush.
This is a shade which I won’t recommend to anybody but if you love pure un-pronounced neutrals which will hardly make any difference to your look then check out this one. Having said that, I would surely suggest working females this shade where they don’t have much option to play with colours & are required to maintain a very subtle look.
This is how it looks on me. Please excuse the blurr pic. It’s been taken at night but there’s not much difference in the shade between day & night wear till the time you don’t enter in some colourful lightening.
- Attractive Packaging.
- The heart shaped applicator picks up enough product for single application & the pointed tip helps to contour the lip line perfectly.
- Creamy, Moisturizing formula.
- Long wearing (for a sheer gloss)
- Shade Blush Pink unlike name is a pure neutral shade with barely noticeable colour on lips & is apt for office goers.
- I don’t have any selective complaints with this one but somehow I always TBS products are pricey for the quality they deliver.
The Body Shop love glosses have rich creamy, non sticky & long wearing formula. The heart shaped applicator (from which these glosses actually gained their name) gives a full coverage in a single go with pointed tip helping to contour along the lip line. They are very comfortable on lips & fades evenly leaving a strong tint. Blush pink is a pure nude shade without any hint of pink on my NC/NW 40 skintone. With just a slight peachy brown hint the shade gives a moderate coverage. A good option for working females.
