The Elizabeth Arden Cream Lip protectant comes in a lipstick kind of twist up tube packaging. It’s a pale brown coloured lip healer with the texture exactly like a creamy moisturizing lipstick. I suffer from super dry lips & if no regular protection they tend to become flaky & chapped. During my vacation when I was not able to apply my lip balms regularly because of the activities we were doing, I bought this seeing the impressive 8 hours protection claim. Also this bets to be one single solution for major lip dryness issues.

As mentioned formulawise this reminds me of a highly moisturizing creamy lipstick. Though it looks pale brown coloured but does not have any tint & applies colourless. This gives a slight glossiness to lips as any other lip balm would do. It feels very light & comfortable on lips. I am not much fond of the strong medicated fragrance this possesses but gets diluted & slowly fades away post application without bothering much. The fragrance is not kind of which keeps lingering once you open the tube. If you like your lipbalms with slight tint then this lip protectant is available in tinted form too.

I have been wearing this since 1.5 months & happy with the way it takes care of my otherwise dryness prone lips. I haven’t experienced any kind of chapping or flaking once I hooked onto this lip protectant. This certainly keeps my lips baby soft soothing slight chapping & burning in extreme exposure to sun & comes with an added advantage of SPF15. It perfectly heals those slight cracks & dryness around the lips in few days but can take longer time to sort out severely cracked sore lips. The only draw back being the very unpractical claim of 8 hours continuous protection. This has to be applied regularly as we do with our normal chap sticks or say gives an 1-1.5 hours of extra wear.

My whole purpose of buying this was for the 8 hours protection claim which it fails to delivers. My lips are generally in good condition & I make sure that they are problem free except in few unavoidable cases. My daily wear lip balms gives enough help to my lips to be in healthy condition. I am not a kind of person who is willing to spend $19 dollars on a lip treatment. If you have a problematic lips which doesn’t get in control & need some medicinal care then probably you can check this one out otherwise if you have good lips & needs something for daily protection, this is way too expensive for the purpose. I am using this at nights now a days when I am about to finish the pack & really happy how my lips feels soft & supple in the morning.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant comes in a easy to use twist up tube packaging & feels very light & comfortable on lips. It possesses a strong medicinal fragrance which can be bothering for some people. This helps in sorting out all major issues of problematic lips like dryness, chapping, cracking & sore lips. Keeps lips baby soft & supple. It fails to deliver the 8 hour protection as claimed as vanishes soon after few hours of application. It comes with a hefty price tag. Would recommend this product for lips which needs some immediate treatment for severe issues.
