NARS Larger Than Life lip gloss comes in a transparent rectangular tube with matte black cap containing brush applicator. The brush applicator gives a more precise control during application & lip contouring. However the size of the bristles is too small which will be convenient for thinner lips but thicker & pouted lips won’t appreciate it much.

Spring Break appears pale milky peach with micro gold shimmer in tube but comes as plain beige on lips. Although NARS describes this as Sheer Nude Pink I find it more of a pale peach. The shade washes out my NC40 skintone completely. I like to apply this very lightly with just a touch to lips & blot them together for distributing the shimmer & the hint of shade equally all over. If layered it look disastrous! The shimmer adheres to the skin completely & don’t get transferred till the wear time. This doesn’t work well layered with most of my other lip shades also. The shimmer gives a rich glossy shine to lips & makes them appear fuller.

Formula wise this gloss is very thick but applies evenly on lips. I love how comfortable & moisturizing it feels on my lips. Nevertheless it is slightly sticky as expected from long wear glosses but never gets too gooey & unbearable on lips. Despite of having that slight stickiness, it keeps the lips in a comfort zone providing ample hydration. The gloss gives almost opaque coverage on lips but I use it very lightly for a touch of shimmer on my lips without much coverage. It gives me a wear time of about 3-4 hours & I am sure would survive longer if applied generously.

Overall I am satisfied with the performance of this gloss with good pigmentation, rich creamy formula & long wearing but unfortunately shade washes me out. Would love to try shades like Place Vendome, Como, Norma & Piree from the range.

I don’t have any complaints with the gloss performance but the shade washes me out completely. It came along with the kit so I didn’t had much choice.

NARS Larger Than Life Lip Glosses are long wearing with super creamy hydrating formula & slightly sticky on lips. They wear very comfortably on lips despite having that slight stickiness. The pigmentation is quite rich & gives almost opaque coverage to lips. It delivers everything claimed by NARS. Spring Break is Plain Beige shade with micro gold shimmer to it. It washes out my NC40 skin tone completely & would suite paler tones.
