After being satisfied with Garnier Deep Clean Mint Face Wash I thought of giving this face wash a try as the company claims that it has been tested on acne prone skin and contains salicylic acid which is great for oily, acne prone skin.
Garnier Pure Active Pore Unclogging face wash comes in a white opaque tube with a blue screw top cap, which makes it difficult to carry it around. The face wash has a runny consistency. It is a pale blue colored gel like face wash. It pours down in a large amount the moment you invert the tube. Thus one needs to be careful when taking out the face wash due to its runny consistency else you would end up squeezing out more than the required product. It has a nice minty smell which is mild and pleasant and won’t irritate sensitive noses. It makes me feel fresh, alive and delighted during summers.
I simply wet my face, take pea size amount of face wash and massage it onto my skin for few seconds. It lathers well on my face & as soon as I wash my face it gives a cooling sensation because of the presence of menthol in it. I follow it up with a good moisturizer. It cleanses away dirt and oil from the skin thoroughly. It neither dries nor moisturizes the skin and leaves my skin bright and clean. It is a soap free face wash and doesn’t break me out. It never aggravated my minor acne that I get during scorchy summers. It cleanses my pores effectively. Although I don’t have the problem of big pores but I could see it made my pores even smaller and gives more even look to my skin. It lightens my acne scars as per its claim but not completely.
Well it doesn’t remove every speck of my makeup and I need to use my makeup remover. It gets washed off easily without leaving slippery kind of feeling.
- It is soap free.
- Doesn’t break me out.
- It has got minty smell which makes me feel fresh and alive.
- It makes my skin squeaky clean.
- It doesn’t sting my eyes.
- Contains salicylic acid. Great for oily, acne prone skin.
- Complete ingredient list is mentioned.
- Dermatologically tested.
- Lightens spots and blemishes.
- It doesn’t remove every speck of my makeup.
- The consistency of the facewash is runny and leads to wastage of product.
- Personally I don’t like screw top caps in face wash.
- Packaging is not travel friendly due to the runny consistency of the face wash.
- Contains SLS.
Garnier Pure Active pore unclogging face wash is a pale blue gel with runny consistency. The minty smell is quite mild and pleasant and makes me feel alive and awake. Due to the presence of menthol it gives a nice cooling sensation. It neither moisturizes nor dries out my skin and makes it squeaky clean. Although it did nothing to my acne but since it is soap free it never aggravated minor ones. It helps in lightening spots and scars left by acne. It cleanses and minimizes pores as well. I would definitely recommend it to oily skinned beauties.
