NARS Orgasm-Laguna Duo ~ Review & Swatches

The duo comes in trademark NARS luxurious black case packaging which is slightly bigger than the normal blush packaging being a duo. The pack contains 2.5 gm each of Orgasm Blush & Laguna Bronzer. NARS products are known for their rich quality texture, high pigmentation & long wear, so even 2.5 gm of blush & bronzer will last longer for me.

NARS ORGSAM BLUSH:

Orgasm looks Peachy Pink with strong golden sheen in pan described accurately by NARS. However once on your cheeks it gets pinker diluting the peachy tones with strong golden iridescent sheen. The sheen is because of very finely milled gold flecks unlike in super orgasm where they are noticeably bigger & chunkier. In Orgasm the glitter gets completely mixed up into the texture & barely felt on skin. It’s a warm toned pink & universally flattering. The golden sheen adds enough warmth to the shade for flattering medium-dusky complexions. For duskier tones it works as a great highlighter & for fair-medium tones gives naturally flushed cheeks. However the shade is quite sheer dominated by golden sheen. The shimmers are subtle but glowy enough to go without a highlighter. But leaving apart that, the shade is divine & angelic in itself which can never go wrong.

The texture is absolutely buttery soft & shimmers are not at all felt but you have large pores, try this at store first as even the minute shimmers can accentuate the pores. It stays for good 7-8 hours on my cheeks. The blush is highly pigmented. A single swipe is enough for the blush to show up on cheeks. Overall this blush I would highly recommend everybody to have in their stash: classy packaging, universally flattering shade, highly pigmented & long wearing.

NARS LAGUNA BRONZER:

Bronzing Powder creates the ultimate healthy glow. Diffused powders with golden shimmer create an all-over warmth or contour for the face perfect for creating or enhancing the look of tanned skin. Finely milled powders fills in lines and pores for smoother, more even looking complexion.

NARS Laguna Bronzer works great on my NC 42-44 skin tone for giving overall sunkissed glow. It doesn’t help me at all for contouring & gets completely mixed up with my skin tone. I love the way how it looks very natural on me providing enough warmth with slight glow. Yes, it does contain those minute gold flecks which are quite understated on skin & looks very natural. They provide that slight sheen which makes my otherwise super dry skin glowy rather than appearing glittery. On my skin tone it is very much similar to Revlon Colorstay Mineral finishing Powder in Sunkiss Radieux but without any orange undertones. For contouring I would definitely need shade darker than Laguna.

This will make a good bronzer for paler tones & warmer tones like me would need darker shade than this one. It has got rich pigmentation & stays intact for whole day on my skin. However I am not much keen on recommending this to warmer tones especially if you are looking for a contouring job.
