OPI needs no introduction here & we will kick start this weeks theme which is Touring America Collection from OPI with a gorgeous fall shade! Read on more…
OPI Nail Enamels comes in a thick heavy bottomed glass vials with black coloured cap. The applicator is a master for smooth streak free finish of lacquer on nails. Though the coverage & opacity depends on the shade but the rich formula makes sure to get that polished, uniform & glossy finish on your nails. These dries pretty fast irrespective of number of coats applied.
The formula is perfect as per me with rich creamy consistency which is not way too thick but flowy enough for easy workability. It applies uniformly covering whole nail in a single stroke & settling down as rich glossy finish. They give a wear time of 1 week easily without any chipping or tip wear to me & if sealed with a top coat then stays further more. I love the fact that OPI nail lacquers don’t loose their finishing with passing time. They appear fresh & intact on nails even after few days unlike with most of the drugstore formulas which looses their shine & finish with every passing day. Top coat sealing adds to the staying power more protecting the finish & overall look. If you are not fond of using your nail polish remover every now & then or a lousy bee like me to take out that half chipped nail enamels off then investing in something like this a better option. Agreed that they are on steeper side but worth every penny spent on them.
Shade: Road House Blues
Road House Blues is a rich Dark Indigo Blue which looks quite stark on nails. I find it more of a vampy shade but never enters the black territory & retains its blue ness pretty well. The shade appears very blue in pics but in actual it is deeper & somewhat lean towards purple. It is very very close to OPI Sapphire in the Snow. If you don’t like darker or stark shades probably take a look at some brighter shades in the collection in coming few days. It gives almost opaque coverage in a single coat but you need two coats to get full opacity.
Rains have hit Hyderabad since yesterday & pouring down like never before, I welcomed them with this beautiful fall shade.
