Sometimes I like to keep my nails bare and always feel better when my nails are presentable. The best way to make your bare nails better is to use a nail buffer. I bought this 3 way Maxi Buffer from Faces Store. You can also get it at various online shopping sites.
Faces 3 Way Maxi Nail Buffer comes in a smooth clear plastic case with instructions written on the back. The buffer is an oblong shaped block. It is made of smooth rubberish material with foam in between. It is quite lightweight and can be easily carried around in a purse. It has two surfaces on one side which are meant for filing (black part) and polishing (white part). The other side (grey part) is used for buffing your nails.
Before using the buffer make sure to clean your nails thoroughly. The first step is to use the black side of the buffer to shape your nails and remove ridges. Make sure to file nails in one direction and avoid rubbing it too hard on the nails as it has slight rough texture (Umm just like sand paper!) and would only weaken your nails. If filed with care, it just shapes my nails nicely.After shaping the nails, the next step is to polish the nails. Use the white part to polish across the nails in one direction. The white part is quite soft and smooth. It doesn’t damage the nails but it is written in the instructions that overdoing might weaken your nails. It helps to smooth any ridges on the nails (fortunately I don’t have any!) and gives a nice smooth finish to them.The final step is to use the grey part which is used for buffing the nails. This side is also soft, smooth and doesn’t damage the nails. It helps in giving a glossy finish to the nails. The shine lasts for a week or two. It also helps to reduce stains from discolored nails. Even if your nails are not stained it helps in giving them a shiny, clean and healthy look.
I use this buffer whenever I remove my nail paints or when I don’t feel like applying nail paints. It helps in pampering my nails and gives a nice shiny look to them. It has not damaged my nails in any way and makes them look shiny and attractive. Whenever I use the grey part I can feel my nails quite smooth whenever I run my fingertips over them. After using this buffer I leave my nails bare without applying any clear nail polish to get that shiny look. Even if I apply any nail paint I can see the effect. The brush glides on my nails so easily.
