Skin/Hair dryness is a state when the skin/Hair lacks the basic required amount of moisture levels due to low secretion of sebum from the oil glands. I know this sounds too much of science, so in a simple way, when skin/Hair lacks the basic amount of hydration , causes the dryness making skin parched, flaky, redness & dullness or for hair fizziness, brittleness, hair fall, dandruff et.
Causes of Skin Dryness:
The major causes may be divided into Biological & Environmental.
If one has genetically dry skin/Hair then nothing much can be done except to follow the preventive measures like using moisturizers/ moisturizing shampoos regularly, avoid prolonged hot baths etc. All the preventive measures we will be discussing later.
Lack of Nutrition:
I won’t be going much into the details as they are purely very biological which are nowhere connected to this beauty blog. To put this in simpler terms the lack of essential nutrients in your eating habits gives rise to many health complications which can lead to skin dryness.
Exposure to extreme environmental factors like very dry or cold air, pollution, dirt & climatic changes also causes the dryness.
Your skin care routine products also affect the texture of your skin. Using a product which is not suitable for your skin type may give an opposite reaction on the skin which can cause the flaking or skin dryness
