The word Vernis A Ongles itself means a Nail Enamel in French! The chamber nail enamels comes in regular glass vials with black coloured cap. The website says it’s available in 25 shades but I guess now they have increased the number. The formula of these nail enamels lean towards thicker side which makes the application messy & streaky. Also the applicator brush is way too soft & doesn’t allow a steady application on nails. It just keeps on bending with even a very slight pressure. The thicker formula & the brush doesn’t allow to get a smooth & even application so easily especially for females like me who are much comfortable with slight runny consistency with nail enamels. You can see in my nail swatches how uneven it applies.

The enamel stays on my nails for good 5-7 days with minor tip wear off. I do moderate hand work, so if you are into heavy duty handwork it may wear less than 5 days on nails without any chipping. Overall I am not much impressed with the range. We get much better quality nail enamels with brands like Lotus which perform excellently for much lower price!

Shade Lilac Fonce is a dusty Mauve shade with earthy tones. It’s a kind of shade which can be easily considered for bright summery as well as for fall wear. It’s not a vivid mauve & is quite subdued to be carried easily without screaming much attention towards your nails. The shade has got a perfect balance & is not too bright & understated. It is highly pigmented & gives a good opaque coverage in single swipe. If you love Mauves can check this one out provided you are ok with thicker formulas & difficult to work with applicator brush.

Chambor Vernis A ongles nail enamels have thicker consistency with way too soft applicator brush which makes application quite difficult. It gives a quicker tip wear off for moderate handwork & sustains even less with heavy duty work. So if you are good enough to work with thicker formulas & got a professional practised hands can check out the range. Shade Lilac Fonce is a dusty mauve shade with earthy tones & is apt for regular wear without being too bright or understated.
