Illamasqua lip glosses comes in two formulas: Sheer & Intense. I haven’t tried sheer ones & Succubus is my first ever gloss from Illamasqua also first from Intense gloss range. Like the name , Intense range has power packed pigmentation giving complete coverage to the lips along with glossy moisturizing formula. The shade range is equally astounding. Check out the entire range HERE. I absolutely love the packaging in a sturdy sleek plastic tube & a slanted nozzle to dispense out the right amount of gloss rectifying the product wastage. Nozzle being slanted helps in easy & smooth application on lips. The cap fits in tightly giving no way for spillage or contamination. The formula is extremely creamy & moisturizing. I can easily survive with this on my lips alone. When swatching I felt the texture slightly sticky but it doesn’t turns out bad on lips. There is slight stickiness which is barely felt but gets slightly noticed when you hair keeps sticking to the lips. There is no distinctive fragrance or flavour unless you really get your nose into that nozzle getting a mild fruity kind of smell.

These are intensely pigmented & a single swipe adds a high punch of colour to lips. Also they wear for good 6-8 hours on my lips proceeding towards the strong tint. They never feel heavy on your lips & keeps them very comfortable. Given that they are slightly steeper on price tag there’s no compromise in the quality & the high level performance.

Shade : Succubus

I googled to find out the meaning of Succubus which actually is  errrrr… ‘Seductive Demon coming in the dreams of men during ancient times’.. & this particular shade has every ingredient of seductiveness & boldness which any guy will find hard to resist! Illamasqua is bang on describing Succubus as Blood Red. It’s an irresistible true blood Red & nothing else. I personally like to wear it blotted or in a thin layer because of the insane pigmentation which adds enough colour & gives true coverage with a gentle swipe. The shade is not overly bright but adds an oomph factor to the entire look making heads turn over. This is a bold shade & not everyone’s material. A must have shade (Red lovers, I am looking at you) & will suit Indian skin tones beautifully.
