Nina by Nina Ricci was originally launched in 1987, and revisited with a 2006 re-release under a crisper, more gourmand guise. This fresh floral citrus scent for her presents a delicious mix of fresh lemon and lime over a sweet heart of moonflower, apple and vanilla. Applewood, cedarwood and musk bring up a sultry base as the drydown to this enticing and magical mixture.
I bought a perfume for my brother and of course one for me from Shoppers Stop few months back and got few samples of high end perfumes with them.
The packaging of the perfume is eye catching, stylish and feminine. It comes in a deep pink apple shaped glass bottle with a silver lid. The lid has few silver leaf designs with Nina Ricci engraved on one of it.
It has a floral fragrance which is neither overwhelming nor too mild. Well I am not too good in identifying perfume notes. When first sprayed it gives a nice citrus scent of lemon and lime which is quite refreshing and lovely. The middle notes are much more appealing and smells of toffee apple, vanilla and moonflower. These notes are most apparent within an hour of wearing the perfume. After sometime it settles into a sweet and feminine scent with a mild aroma of apple wood, cedarwood and musk. The slight musk in it may not impress some of you but it really didn’t bother my senses. I feel they all blend together to make a fresh floral fragrance which is wearable both during daytime and night outs. The staying power is not that great. It survives easily for 5-6 hours on me.
