Lakme Souffle comes in a cute, sturdy glass jar with a beige screw cap. It has an inner plastic lid which makes the packaging spill proof. The packaging is sturdy enough to be carried around in a purse.

The soufflé is light and springy. It has got slight weird smell but won’t bother sensitive noses and fades away as soon as it is applied on the skin. It glides easily and blends effortlessly. It really does sink into the skin beautifully without giving me a ghostly look. You can either use a sponge applicator or fingers for applying and blending but I prefer to use my fingertips as a sponge applicator seems to soak up most of the product. The soufflé comes with the SPF but there is no mention of the SPF value. It looks good in photographs. It provides sheer coverage and won’t cover acne marks and blemishes. It doesn’t look cake-y if you go overboard and just need to be set with a powder. The finish is semi dewy and skin glows but let me tell you it doesn’t contain shimmer particles. Since it is a water based foundation it is great for people with normal to oily skin and can be used daily. The staying power is average. It stays on my oily skin for 2-3 hours without any need of touch up after that I need a powder touch up on my T-zone. It transfers easily on my cell phone screen but for the price I couldn’t complain. The biggest problem with the soufflé is that it starts getting a layer of water over the whole thing even before the expiry date and I had to throw it away .

Shade ~Natural Shell~:

The shade ‘Natural Shell’ matches my skin tone fairly and doesn’t give a white cast or cake-y look. It is a warm orange based shade and blends with my skin tone well. The shades available are Pearl (for fair skin), Marble (for fair to wheatish skin) and Shell (for wheatish to dusky skin). Lakme Face Magic Daily Wear Souffle is a lightweight, water based foundation which blends effortlessly into the skin without giving a cake-y or ghostly look. It gives a nice semi dewy finish and is great for people with normal to oily skin. It stays put on my skin for only 2-3 hours after that it needs touch ups. It transfers easily on cell phones, collars etc. It provides sheer coverage and you would need a concealer to conceal your flaws. But if you like lightweight foundation that gives a natural look, I would definitely recommend it to you.
