The packaging of the compact is very pretty and classy. It comes in a black cardboard box. The actual product comes in a sturdy, glossy black case with Revlon written in golden. It consists of two compartments. The upper compartment consists of two square shaped compact pans which are in turn covered by plastic lids and the lower one consists of one compact pan and one slot which holds a small square shaped sponge applicator. The sponge slot has holes underneath which gives room for air. According to me this is the best way to package a compact powder as I dislike the used sponge lying on top of the powder the whole time after every use. The sponge is soft but I don’t prefer to use it as I always like puff applicator. The packaging is slightly heavy and is difficult to carry around in a bag. It comes with a mirror as large as the whole lid and I think it’s a proper mirror for touch ups.
The powder is finely milled, soft and doesn’t look chalky. It blends effortlessly on my skin. It feels light and smooth on my skin and gives matte finish. I use it after I do my makeup and just dab it all over my face. It has SPF 15 which is an added bonus. It evens out my complexion well without giving me a ghostly look. The pressed powder gives sheer to medium coverage. It is lightweight setting powder to set foundation or can be used over a primer too. I usually use it to set my foundation but it gives subtle coverage even if used alone on a moisturized skin (I have not applied this powder on bare skin i.e. without moisturizer so I am not sure if it would give powdery look or highlight dry patches). It evens out the skin tone and covers slight imperfections. But if you have dark spots or blemishes you need to use concealer before applying this. It gives a nice, smooth matte finish, non powdery look that still looks like a natural skin. It doesn’t give a cakey look even if applied in excess. The staying power is pretty decent. It stays put on my oily skin for a good 5-6 hours after which I do need touch ups. Very little quantity is required to cover up the whole face and neck.
Shade ~Tender Peach~:
All the three shades matches my skin tone perfectly especially 3rd one. The first and third one is soft and warm beige shade and suits all skin tones. The second one is slightly light shade and would suit fair skin well.
