When it comes to lip products Revlon scores full. The perfect medley of beautiful hues with ultra comfortable formulas makes Revlon a sure shot winner in lip formulas. Colorburst range is not unknown for most of us & is one of the most promising one from the brand. Revlon colorburst lipsticks comes in an elegant quilted textured black case with patent shade cap top. Strangely my tube doesn’t have that coloured top on the cap. I ordered this from Slassy.com & it came properly wrapped with MFG date & expiry details mentioned. The bullet is imprinted with brand name which looks quiet high end.
The formula is soft, creamy, lightweight & glides smoothly enveloping the lips with good opaque coverage in a single go. They have great pigmentation & survive long enough. Doesn’t bleed on lips or highlight any flaws despite being creamy. Overall Colorburst range have top notch formula which performs at par right from application, hydration, finish, pigmentation, coverage & wear time. The lipstick does mess up a bit in hotter conditions not too much though but soften down a bit.
Fuchsia is a bright blue toned magenta pink with a high impact pigmentation & colour pay off! The shade looks dead scary in tube but on lips it generates a very wearable swipe of bright colour which instantly brightens up the whole face/ dull complexion. Gives a solid even coverage with a single pass& by no means it looks garish on lips. This is not drying unlike most of the deep intense shades with which I face the problem but is not extremely moisturising also, just enough to keep my lips comfortable. The creamy texture applies smoothly without any bleeding giving luscious looking lips. Make sure that your eyes & cheeks are not giving competition to your lips wearing this on! Though it looks very glary but gets easily mingled up with skintones across. It is not overly cool toned & looks good on just about anyone, a very wearable Fuchsia. It stays for good 5-6 hours on my lips before reducing to a stain. This is considered as a very close dupe of famous MAC Girl About Town lipstick. I don’t own the MAC one , so not sure how close both are. And then if you are still scared to wear this shade with full intensity (which just requires a single swipe BTW) , try blotting it down as a stain to get soft wash of pretty bright pink lips. In any way this looks fabulous & a must have!
And this is how it looks me. (Pic taken in artificial light, in day light the shade looks much more better!)
- Elegant & rich looking packaging.
- Soft , creamy/glossy texture, glides smoothly.
- Does not bleed.
- Gives pouty glossy lips.
- Intense pigmentation wraps the lips in a solid fuchsia !
- Long wearing.
- Complements all skintones.
- The lipstick softens/mess up a bit in hotter conditions. (But that nothing too bad)
Revlon Colorburst Fuchsia complements all skintones despite being cool toned on spectrum scale. Looks scary in tube but transform into a refreshing dose of wearable bright hot pink perking up the dull complexion. The formula is soft, creamy, light weaight & glides smoothly enveloping the lips with good opaque coverage in a single go. For a softer version can be weared as a stain. This is definitely a long wearing shade for about good 5-6 hours on me with not so strong stain because of the creaminess.
