The lip balm comes in a sealed package which ensures that it has not been used. The actual product comes in a white sturdy plastic stick with a white pull off cap. At the bottom of the lip balm there is a slightly texture ring which can be twisted to push the lip balm up and can also be twisted back to put the lip balm down. Unlike other lip products, this function doesn’t get stuck up or dispense too much but instead retracts easily. I find stick lip balms more convenient than pots as you don’t have to get your finger greasy to apply them. Faces Canada Lip Balm is available in 3 variants- Lemon, Strawberry and Vanilla.
The formula is yellow in color and it smelt very lemon-y. You could definitely smell and taste the lemon in the product. It is not at all overpowering and is subtle and lingers on my lips for quite a few minutes (I actually fell for this lip balm just because of its citrusy smell). It felt little hard when applied for the first time but it seemed to soften up as I applied it. It is pretty lightweight and soft. It goes easily onto my lips and leaves them feeling hydrated and smooth. It doesn’t feel waxy or sticky. It is a clear balm so it doesn’t leave any tint or glossy effect on lips making it perfect for day to day wear or a base for lipstick. It sinks in well to your lips and doesn’t sit on top. As the weather gets colder my lips start getting dry and chapped. After using this lip balm for a few weeks my lips have made a massive improvement. It works very well on chapped lips and helps to alleviate any dryness. It lasts for a long time on my lips and I don’t feel the need to reapply it.
