|Fine and light Powder blush The baked texture transforms when applied to the skin into a light ultra-fine pressed powder, which is easy to apply and blends impeccably. One stroke of the brush reveals the irresistible aroma of rose scented powder. Its built-in mirror and brush is perfect for touch-ups.|
Boujois Little Pot blushes comes in a tiny , round & compact pots with an inbuilt mirror& a clip fix cap which closes with a satisfactory click. The whole pot body is colored to the respective blush which makes the shade location very easy. The blush sits in the centre of the pot as a hardened powder dome which is smooth & soft with slight (*very negligible*) grittiness because of the baked texture of course. The whole thing looks like hardened clay! The blush is accompanied by an applicator brush which sits on top of it & is of pretty good quality. The bristles are soft & not scratchy like most of the free applicators feel but the shape of the brush is not something which I am comfortable with, so it’s a good option for on go touch ups. The moment you open the cap, floral fragrance of the blush starts lingering which I find very overwhelming. It is heavily scented I must say.
Though the texture is hardened, the blush feels very soft & light which gets onto the brush easily with a gentle swirl. It does not kick off any excess powder nor create any mess unless you use some scratchy stuff. It blends effortlessly without any issues. Baked textures in dry forms are known for the weaker pigmentation but these cute little things are packed with solid pigment dose giving a nice punch of colour with a single brush. The pigmentation is highly buildable & one can get the desired intensity by layering, however it may not be needed with these. They give a pretty average 6-7 hours wear on me before starting to fade slowly & this is where it loses the marks heavily. Despite being heavily pigmented the longing power of these blushes is not great. The fading is uniform without any patchiness or edges wear off. These blushes get hardened with time but you can always scrub out the upper surface with a brush or sand paper (slightly) & the product will be as good as new to be used again. The price is also debatable here especially for merely 2.5gm of product which can be finished off fast if used regularly & the very average longevity.
Chataigne Doree is a nice warm mediumTeracotta Brown shade with tiny golden microshimmers. The shimmers so very finely milled & completely mingled into the formula that they gets nicely blended out on cheeks along with the blush for that soft focused dewy glow. Infact they are so fine that its hard to detect them in original day light. They are not sheeny or highlighting kind of ones but gives a very natural soft focused effect. I tried googling for the name of the blush- Chataigne means Chestnut & Doree is an English word meaning very lightweight boat. So I guess the name means Light Chestnut (In means of light brown/terracotta). This thing gives an amazing glow to the skin which looks very natural(dewy). The shade will be so very flattering on Indian skintones/warm toned complexions. Though it is wearable on all skintones but lighter ones might want to use it sparingly to avoid looking muddy. It serves a dual purpose of blush & bronzer. This is the prettiest brown blush I have in my vanity right now. Just wish the staying power was little better. It stays for barely 6 hours on me properly & then starts fading.
Please ignore the unkept hair. It’s a post work tired FOTD

These adorable pot blushes from Bourjois are an joy to use right from the texture to the ease of application along with the highly pigmented shades which blends seamlessly into the skin to give the most natural dewy glow without being sheeny/shimmery! However the strong artificial scent may not be enjoyed by everyone here & the early attenuation of shade dilutes the overall quality. Chataigne Doree will sing across complexions but will be supremely flattering on the warmer side of the spectrum.
(Negatives for price, strong fragrance & overall quantity+quality for given price)
