I had earlier reviewed shade SPICE from NYX Powder Blush range which is a gorgeous dusky pink. And today it’s yet another stunning shade Terra Cotta from the range. Though they offer some quality products with an affordable price tag, are sold expensive in India. So this time when I got a chance to make a haul without incurring any shipping charges, picked up few stuff I was eyeing since long.
Packaging wise I am not a big fan of NYX. It is pretty ordinary for the blushes – a tiny sleek square black case with a transparent lid. Though it looks nice but is very flimsy & easily prone to breakage. The tiny case comes without any inclusion of an applicator but anyhow they are most of the time useless. The blush embedded in the case has got a prominent quilted pattern which looks appealing.
Texture wise they are a joy to use. Silky soft formula which picks up onto brush easily with full power pigmentation. The shades performance is not consistent in the range where few shades gives hard time for application, blending & wear time while some deliver excellently in all aspects. But all together for the price tag & awesome shades selection they flare pretty well.
TERRA COTTA is a beautiful Peachy Bronze loaded with tons of tiny golden shimmers for that lovely soft focused highlights. The shimmers are well blended into the texture without any chunkier feel. Considered as a close dupe for MAC Sunbasque & Margin, but it comes very very close to Sunbasque on my skintone( I am NC42 in MAC for reference). It’s a must have shade for warm undertones- a blush, bronzer & highlighter rolled into one tiny case which adds Colour+Warmth+Glow! For me it adds a pinch of colour with beautiful highlight effect giving a nice sun kissed look. It makes a perfect topping for my matte blushes for an added glow without disturbing the actual shade. Also love to dust this on collar bones for a nice bronze highlighting effect! A versatile multitasking shade & I can go on & on raving about it. It applies & blends well without any issues but loses heavily in wear department. Despite packed with that power boost pigmentation it barely lasts for 4-5 hours on me before starting to fade. And it fades away pretty fast. The longevity is the real killjoy for this wonderful formula & shade. Still if you are on budget & looking for some fantastic blush shades for your vanity, would highly recommend you this range.

Terra Cotta is a perfect balance of colour warmth & glow for that perfect sunkissed look. It’s a gorgeous Peachy Bronze shade with golden highlights & very close dupe of MAC Sunbasque & Margin- two very popular blushes from the brand. However the poor wear time kills the whole experience with a fabulous silky soft formula packed with rich dose of pigmentation.
