Using fingers or a brush, dab a small amount of cream blush on apples of cheeks. Apply 2-3 dots of color along cheekbones.
Revlon photoready cream blushes comes in a tiny light weight round plastic containers more like Bobbi Browns Pot Rouges older versions with a hefty 12.4gm of product. The shade name is mentioned on sticker placed on top of the cap & bottom being completely transparent gives a better view of shade in storage (I love to store my cream blushes also upside down like gel liners!). These are available only in three shades so shouldn’t be a problem in identification.
Texturewise I would say these are not completely creamy like a typical cream blush but has got a mousse like cushiony consistency with slight powderiness in the texture which doesn’t go all the way dewy on the cheeks. They give a semi matte finish or say satiny finish retaining that powdery quality. Looking at the texture of these blushes, will be equally loved by oilies as much as by dry skin beauties. They are pigmented yet buildable & blends seamlessly without any issues. They work equally well with fingers or stippling brush. So if you find it unhygienic dipping fingers into the tub then can use a good stippling brush like MAC 188 for application. The only concern with them is the wear time which is very average. I would still recommend trying at least one shade from the range for lovely formula & beautiful shades.
CORAL REEF is a gorgeous vibrant Reddish Coral which transforms into a beautiful natural flush on cheeks when applied sheerly. You can always go back & build up the shade for that extra pop & vibrancy. It goes on smoothly & evenly on cheeks & does not get patchy or heavy even if layered quite a bit. The formula remains feathery light even after heavy built up which otherwise is not required with the shade usually. It wears averagely for 3-4 hours on me (without heavy builtup) & then fades away, very quickly. I love the shade overall and if you don’t mind reapplying your blushes then give it a go.
- Smooth Creamy Mousse Formula.
- Applies smoothly & evenly.
- Gives a nice satiny finish without being over shiny
- Blends seamlessly without any patchiness.
- Nice & buildable pigmentation.
- The formula remains feather light even after heavier built up of the shade.
- The tub packaging is unhygienic from application point of view.
- The wear time is very average & the shade fades away very quickly.
- Very limited shade range.
The formula is something versatile looking at regular range of cream blushes with a slight powdery touch to it transforming the whole finish into satiny without going overboard with shine. However the average wear time is a disappointment here. Coral Reef is a gorgeous Reddish Coral without entering into neon’s territory which otherwise would have been difficult to carry. Weared sheerly it gives a lovely natural flush to cheeks & can be built up for more vibrancy.
