Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Conditioner comes in a sturdy white bottle with a flip open lid. The bottle has to be kept upside down and looks quite soothing in my bathroom shelf. The lid is quite tight and the bottle can be easily carried around in a bag while traveling without any fear of leakage or spillage. The conditioner is white in color with a pleasant smell.
The texture of the conditioner is soft and smooth with slightly thick and creamy consistency. I take more than a coin sized amount of conditioner and apply it to the length of my hair. I have soft and silky hair which is dry at the ends. The conditioner spreads easily across my hair. The smell remains mild and soothing and gives a perfect salon hair treatment. I leave the conditioner for about 2-3 minutes before rinsing it off. It is easily rinsed away without leaving a slippery feeling behind. My hair feels soft, smooth and silky instantly. While combing my hair, I found my hair was tangled at the ends. On the next day, I found my hair more dry and tangled as if I had not conditioned my hair. The scent lingers with me for few hours after that it fades away. The conditioner does give a slight healthy shine to my hair but softness and smoothness are the things I want from my conditioner. My hair gets more prone to breakage when tangled at the ends so I had again switched back to Tresemme. As I do not apply conditioner on the roots, I am not sure if it weighs down the hair.

I really had high hopes from Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Conditioner. Although it makes my hair soft, smooth and silky but the result does not last long. I could see tangles in my hair as soon I comb my hair. My hair becomes more prone to breakage due to dry and tangled hair. I would not recommend it to anyone.
