Nivea have finally launched their lip butters in India, available in two flavours Caramel Cream & Raspberry Rose. I picked up both flavours as I am generally well stocked with lip care products looking at my extremely dry & chapped lips.
These lip butters comes in sleek round tin case like the original Nivea cream packaging. Though I love the colourful packaging but have to sterile my fingers every time before use. They have smooth & soft texture without going all the way buttery. I love the texture here being slightly hard at the surface which gets onto fingers without any tackiness. Both are tinted with delicious fragrances.
CARAMEL CREAM is Caramel tinted with yummy caramel cookie fragrance. The fragrance is not overwhelming & lingers around subtly even post application.
RASPBERRY ROSE is light pink tinted with delicious fruity fragrance with a hint of rose. Again here too fragrance is not over powering & lingers subtly.
Though both the variants are tinted with respective flavoured fragrances, applies pretty clear on lips. You can see a whitish cast if try to build up heavily or else the soft texture melts beautifully into lips for a soft & hydrated feel. I couldn’t detect any flavour or may be very mild (barely there) & a huge thumbs up for that as I don’t like the sweet taste or rather highly flavoured lip balms much. These lip butters are super-duper hydrating & just melts into the lips making them soft & supple. I don’t need much also per application and as mentioned heavy build up can leave whitish cast. The formula instantly fills up the painful cracks & relaxes the flaked lips making them soft & calm. I get upto good 3-4 hours of wear with these. They keep lips healthy & moisturized. The formula feels extremely light on lips without being heavy or greasy. And hands down are my most used lip butters for these winters! Highly Recommended!
- Sleek colourful tin packaging.
- Soft, moist & super hydrating formula.
- Very light on lips without being greasy.
- Melts beautifully for soft supple and hydrated lips.
- No distinct flavour.
- Heavily applied can cause whitish cast to build up on lips (you won’t require though)
- Tub packaging is slightly inconvenient to use.
My most used lip care products with beautiful packaging & texture, super hydrating formula, delicious fragrances without any glaring hint of flavour, I would highly recommend these. Tub packaging is unhygienic but I don’t mind sterilizing my fingers before use looking at the fabulous results on my dry & flaky lips.
