Sigma makeup brushes are known for their high performance within budget! They are compared with high end brands competitors and gives stiff challenge to the counterparts. Today I will be reviewing their very popular E25 Blending brush which is considered as a perfect dupe of the very perfect MAC 217 blending brush.
And indeed it’s a great another for MAC 217 with excellent pricing. E25 has got paddled shaped bristles with rounded domed edges made of goat hair. Even Mac 217 is made of Goat hair & is exactly of same shape & size except for the fact that it is wee bit denser than E25. Yet with that little exception E25 makes up for a superb blending tool with all the formulations (cream, powder & pigment). It beautifully softens the harsh edges with good control. The denser bristles are airy enough for lighter control strokes without affecting the shade intensity. The brush gives a nice even wash of colours on lid effortlessly. It works equally well for the application & blending of concealer, cream products & highlighters. The power lies in the perfect sized & shaped bristles which easily get under the difficult to reach areas like under eyes, nose grooves & mouth corners for the seamless concealing & highlighting! The brush perfectly fits into the crease for precise blending giving impeccable buffed up edges.
I have had Sigma E25 for around 6 months with regular washing every week & haven’t seen it shedding yet! The only downside is the bristles staining with regular use where they lose their original white colour & shine.
E25 retails for $10 (600 INR) while MAC 217 retails for $24 (1400 INR) and there’s no reason that I can’t recommend this tool especially when you are on budget & it gives same high level performance as 217.
