Biotique Bio Sandalwood Face & Body Sun Lotion comes in a standard Biotique plastic bottle with green cap. I am not a big fan of Biotique packaging. It’s a cream colored lotion with thick texture but quiet lighter in consistency which spreads easily without any issues. I have extremely dry skin which craves intense hydration even in hottest of the weather and this lotion nicely gets soaked up into my skin over a heavy duty moisturizer without leaving any cast. The formula never gets greasy or heavy but I don’t use it on my face (Currently using Vichy’s version of face sun protection). Though I have tried few times on face & never had any issues. It has got a mild sandalwood fragrance which lingers for a while post application after which faints completely. SPF 50 gives enough protection as I stay indoors mostly where I reapply this every 4 hours. So barely I need a single reapplication after morning & haven’t noticed any major tanning. Usually my arms tends to tan a lot near to sleeves (read during the times when I was very irregular with my sunprotection regime), but lesson learnt in hardway, I am sheer of any skin uneveness or visible tanning even with these harsh summers.
Another fact for which I have been repurchasing this lotion is that it helps to seal in moisture to some extent. I tried Biotique one on my one hand & my all time favourite Neutrogena sunblock on other. With Biotique one I found my skin to be more supple & healthy without any greasiness whereas Neutrogena one makes my skin look *slightly* darker. No doubt I love & trust my Neutogena sunblock any day for a more solid sun protection.
Overall, I would highly recommend this lotion for dry skin with good SPF50 & also helps to nourish the dehydrated skin *a little bit*.
