An ultra-light, water-based, oil free foundation with Vitamin B3 & SPF 25 guards the skin against harmful rays leaving it visibly fairer, polished & vibrant with 16 hours of complete skin coverage.
Lakme Absolute White Intense Skin Cover comes in an elegant metallic grey cylindrical tube packaging. The packaging feels very sturdy & lush but one cannot make out how much product is left! Also the packaging feels amazingly light indicating the limited product quantity with a steeper price tag.
I had previously reviewed Face Stylist Foundation & Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse from the Absolute range , both of which I highly recommend if you are someone like me preferring lightweight natural finish without suffocating the skin. I don’t prefer the heavily masking base products with few exceptional occasions and I love the fact that all base product in absolute range feels so second skin without compromising on the pigmentation & coverage. The white Intense Skin Cover is no different with a perfect consistency formula which blends in flawlessly for a super refined & impeccable skin. It sets into a natural matte finish which doesn’t look dull on my super dry skin but I generally love to wear it over a luminizing primer. However a properly moisturized & prepped skin is required if you have natural dryness like mine for the formula to behave well or else it gets patchy & highlights the dry areas. The foundation gives a nice medium coverage buildable to full without getting heavy or cakey. It remains easy & breathable even with build up by just sinking into the skin mimicking the original skin texture. Like other base products from the range it blurs out the imperfections perfectly for that flawless glowing skin.
The foundation wears for good 8+ hours on me (9 hours is the maximum I tested) without any major budging signs & my skin felt quiet fresh. It contains SPF 25 but photographs nicely without any whitish cast. I complained of no SPF content in Face Stylist but this one covered that! It never oxidized and has got a mild citrus- y fragrance which doesn’t bother in anyway. The lakme website shows only three shades available in the range but I got Shade 06 Almond Honey from Jabong. So I guess there might be new additions to the shade line afterwards though I am not aware total how many shades are available now. Almond Honey is a perfect match for my NC42 skintone with strong yellow tones. The Lakme formulations anyhow adjusts to Indian yellow tones beautifully even if you happen to wear a shade darker or lighter.
