Chili is my first matte from MAC. After trying Ruby Woo for almost 2 years at stores (hoping that the texture will work out on me someday!) and looking at the way it just dragged on my dry lips, I stayed away from Mattes! Chili was suggested my MAC MUA to me and being scared of the formula, once tried I knew I had to get this.
MAC describes Chili as Brownish Orange Red & I couldn’t agree more. It’s a full bodied Burnt Orange Red with an earthy touch to it making it easier to wear. The shade will complement all skintones & age groups. And for those shying away from classic reds or bold Oranges, this is the shade to go for!! It looks quiet brownish in tube but comes out way different. These kind of shades looks quiet chic for fall.Formula wise I won’t say its comfortable but certainly not the most unforgiving matte I have tried. It has a slight sheen to it and I can wear it comfortable for an hour or so after which I do reach out for a lip balm. The pigmentation is fabulous & gives full coverage with a single swipe. The wear power is equally stunning giving a 6-6.5 hours of solid wear including those munches & drinks. It comes in typical MAC black bullet packaging with the brands signature vanilla scent. Highly recommended.
