Cleansing is most important skin care ritual if you are someone into makeup. Cleansing Balms recently took the users by storm around the world with the added benefits of skin nourishment compared to basic cleansers available. I was eyeing Clinique Take The Day Off cleansing Balm but then decided for Emma Hardie one as I wanted one for more of facial massage & not to just melt away makeup from my skin.
The cleanser cones in a beautiful gold toned cardboard box/sturdy plastic tub packaging which looks quite luxurious. There’s a dual sided cleansing cloth included in the kit.I was expecting a spatula too as the chances of contamination are more with tubs & looking at the high price point! The cleansing balm itself looks like Manuka Honey (which is set honey & not in liquid form) which transforms into creamy/oily texture when heated in palms and later emulsifies when comes in contact with luke warm water. It smells predominantly very floral where I was not able to pick up any distinctive scent. The balm basically is a blend of rich natural essential oils known for their supreme anti oxidant, hydrating & skin rejuvenating properties. The shell life of product is just 6 months which indicates that the ingredients are used in their most natural form without any preservatives. The texture is very rich & highly emollient where I would suggest little is more here. If you are someone with oily skin might want to be really careful with the quantity. I have extremely dry skin & happened to take out a little more than usual once & ended up feeling slight greasy while massaging the face!
The product does removes every trace of makeup without disturbing the natural oil balance of the skin. The dual sided cleansing cloth offers gentle exfoliation & skin polishing reflecting a luxurious spa treatment. I don’t use this makeup removing though. As I wear very less makeup on daily basis, use a gentle cleanser to take away everything from my face & then use this for facial massage which I do it for around 10-20 minutes. It makes my skin smooth, supple , hydrated & very relaxed. The natural essential oils provides great anti-ageing benefits. Despite being so concentrated oils it is fairly easy to take away from skin either with water or with the cloth. If you are someone with normal or oily skin might not nee a moisturizer after using this! It’s a multipurpose product & can also be doubled up as night skin treatment/mask for bouncing back life into skin or for any dryness/dullness/ageing concerns. It works fabulous in every way.
IN A NUTSHELL: I have no complaints with this product whatsoever!!! This is my first ever cleansing balm & I love it the core. It’s natural, multipurpose & feels luxurious in everyway. Skin transformer for me certainly! Though the price tag is hefty but the product do justify that. Highly Recommended.
