This was my first ever face mask from Lush… I am talking about when Lush used to be in India and have gone through many tubs of this. Come winter and this is my go to everyday or atleast 5 days a week mask. Shame that I didn’t reviewed it till date.. After moving to UK and as a result of pregnancy my skin turned extremely dry where nothing was of much help and then comes in Lush Oatifix and seriously it never ever disappoints my skin.
The mask comes in standard Lush black tub packaging with the ingredients and usage directions mentioned. As all Lush products are made with fresh ingredients without the inclusive of any preservatives, the shell life is quiet less. One has to finish it in a months time and has to be kept refrigerated. For use you can scoop out the required amount and put the product back into fridge. The mask itself is very thick , almost in solid form with slight granular texture because of crushed oats and almonds. It smells mildly sweet of banana & almonds which is quiet tempting and makes one want to eat it literally!!!! It’s a real treat for skin too. I usually scoop out little bit in a tiny bowl and mix it rose water or milk to make it workable, keep it on for 15 minutes and rinse off. The oats and almonds offer gentle scrubbing while removing the mask taking away all dead and dry flakes off skin making it smooth and supple. The mask does takes its own sweet time to rinse off completely or else it leaves slight film on skin which is not a issue if you have dry skin like mine or else can give serious breakouts. It is highly nourishing which just brings back life into skin and acts as a gentle scrub at the same time. My only issue is the mess created while using this. I can see small bits of it all over my bathroom sink while applying this as well as while removing. The texture makes it difficult to work with this.
Overall I would say its a mini spa for skin with all the intense nourishment and a gentle scrub at the same time leaving skin beautiful and healthy! Oily skin can skip this easily.
