Today I will be reviewing two products from L’Oreal Nude Magique Range- BB Cream in Medium skintone and CC Cream for anti dullness. I was looking for some lighter formulation for daily wear when I spotted these in my nearby drugstore & decided to give them a go.
L’oreal Paris Nude Magique BB CREAM:
Now this product is supposed to be amazingly multi functional doing the job of a skin primer, moisturiser & a foundation!!!! It has got these “smart pigment capsules” which are faint purple in colour and on warming up against skin transforms into tint/foundation which is quite exciting to see. But apart from that I have nothing good to say about this product sadly… Lets start with the packaging, which looks very elegant & high end- A white glossy tube with shiny purple cap covering a long slim nozzle from where the product is dispensed out.
Coming to the formulation, certainly disappointing..it’s watery thin so just forget about even slight hint of hydration. It’s basically a ultra thin white base loaded with those smart purple pigments & when you start warming the product with your fingers transforms into flesh toned tint. This doesn’t offer any coverage but just gives that slight blur effect which a primer does. Building up the product might help a bit but not upto satisfactory level. The pigmented capsules gives a slight grittiness to the texture which I don’t enjoy. And nopes, there’s no dewy glow here. I have to make sure to use a heavy moisturiser to make sure that this glides smoothly on my skin or else no way that this works for my dry skin. This is available in two shades: Fair & Medium. I got medium and the tint works fine for my dusky skintone. Light toned females can check out the fair version.
To sum up, I don’t know what to call it! It’s not a moisturiser, not a BB cream, provides no coverage & doesn’t even prime that effectively. This simply doesn’t go well with my dry skin. Complete dud!
L’oreal Paris Nude Magique CC CREAM:
This CC Cream from Nude Magique range comes in three variants: Anti Dullness (Purple), Anti Redness (Green) & Anti Fatigue (Apricot). I picked up Anti Dullness for my obviously super dry skin. And to be specific I didn’t find it any different to the BB Cream!!! It does perk up the skin nicely making it look more lively but apart from that I have huge issue with the formula as from BB Cream. It’s quite thin, offers not much coverage & nope no hydrating factor at all.
CC Cream also works on same magic trick of transforming into flesh toned tint upon warming up against skin blending in beautifully. Also I find it slightly more grittier than the BB Cream which is a huge let down. Packaging is again very similar to BB Cream with glossy purple-white tube & a super thin nozzle to dispense out product. Overall, there’s no difference in the formula for BB & CC cream but I do find CC Cream (Anti Dullness) perking up the complexion little better than BB Cream.
