I got it from Sephora USA. Amazon UK sells it for 109.99 GBP.
Herbivore is brainchild of Julia & Alex & the couple got this amazing brand started from their own kitchen garden, sourcing all amazing natural raw oils & exotic flowers to create these magic potions catering to various skin types. I spotted this on Sephora and after reading the origin of the brand couldn’t stop myself from buying it. Though definitely higher on price point, let me tell you its worth every single penny & you won’t ever regret.
The brand offers three variants of facial oils for different skin types: Phoenix for Dry & Matured skin. Orchid for Normal skin and Lapis for Combination & Oily skin. I got Phoenix for my dry skin & had used it exclusively (read: the only facial oil) last year until I started to breakout. I still have little bit of it left after using for over 6 months and I had used it every single morning & evening everyday!
The packaging is very simple, classy & sophisticated with a heavy transparent glass bottle accompanied with a dropper. This oil smells diiiiiiviiinneeeeeee!!!! absolutely amazing , so refreshing & diving like a bouquet of delicate flowers. No overpowering of notes whatsoever just very delicate & heavenly. Phoenix is a wonderful cocktail of some very nourishing & power packed anti ageing oils & flowers. It contains some well known names like rosehip oil, Seabuckthron oil , CoQ10 , Chai Seed Oil , Rose Extracts & Neroli Oil are some of the main ingredients which has the ability to repair & nourish the skin on cellular level. I just dab 3-5 drops of this in the morning on my face as a moisturiser & my skin was never so happier. It was looking radiant & plumped, my makeup glided on beautifully without any glitch & I always had that dewy glow. I never used a moisturiser on top of this as this is quite rich & nourishing in itself. During night I dab 6-8 drops & I am good to hit the bed without any need of extra night cream. I did massaged it into my undereye as well but just a tiny bit and found it doing good there as well. I cannot comment for a matured skin part but for a regular dry & dehydrated skin this is god sent… it just brings out that inner glow making skin all smooth, supple, radiant & bouncy.
Also I just want to mention that my breakout phase was due to extreme stress which my body & skin couldn’t handle well & had to shift off from this completely as it was getting slightly heavier for my skin condition. I did tried to work it out but for the time being I needed something lighter than this which is why I shifted to other options. I still have little bit of it left & have started using it twice or thrice a week and its working perfect for me. I am eyeing their Orchid one next. I would highly suggest to always keep couple of options for your skincare like facial oil, creams, serums ,toners & stuff as you never know which phase your skin might get into. Make sure not to layer too heavy no matter what type your skin is but try best to go for the products specially made for catering your skintype needs as they take care of the skintype without the need of heavily piling up the product. As for this one A MUST MUST MUST HAVE FOR DRY OR MATURED SKIN FEMALES.
