Soap & Glory are known for their eye catching packaging & oh so cute product names …. the very reason for me to pick this lip balm up when spotted it on discount. Lip balms are my life…. I have loads of them scattered everywhere possible around me right from my kitchen cabinets to bathroom to my working table or handbags… I need to have them, thanks to my forever deserted lips. I have tried many of them & found some gems which I keep handy.. lets see how this cutie from Soap & Glory flares …
It comes in a very tiny white coloured plastic tub.. very easy to slip into bag. The product looks pale pink in tub but goes on lips without any hint of colour. It feels nice & moisturising but having said that it’s not one of those emollient & best moisturising formula. I have better formulas than this in my kitty. For me this just instantly disappears into the lips without a feel of lip balm. Thankfully this does keeps my lips hydrated for sometime but I still miss that super moisturising feel. I like the feel of that suppleness that some lip balms give and unfortunately this completely lacks that. I love to use this before applying highly hydrating lip formulas which kind of surface the lips with a slight waxy layer & because this just seeps into lips instantly just balances out everything. Apart from that I don’t find myself reaching for it often. I tend to go for more balmy formula which I thought this would be looking at highly impressive ingredients list but unfortunately this didn’t work that well for me. I like the delicate buttery fragrance with a hint of coconut. Nothing overwhelming.
Overall I feel people with normal-dry lips would like it better than the ones who has super dry lips like mine. It’s a good hydrating formula but certainly lacks that emollient feel for me.
